Download and install Cogeco Security Services
Before installing Cogeco Security Services, make sure that your computer meets the requirements and recommendations.
Step 1: Verify requirements
You must be a Cogeco High speed Internet Subscriber
System requirements
Microsoft Windows 7 and Vista
- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2GHz or higher
- Memory: 1GB or more
- Disk space: 800 MB free HD space
Microsoft Windows XP
- Processor: Intel Pentium III 1Gz or higher
- Memory: 512 MB or more
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or newer
- Disk space: 800MB free HD space
Step 2: Remove other security software
Please ensure that you have uninstalled any other existing security software.
A few tips
- Information about removal tools and how to use them are available on the official Web sites for these security products: Norton AntiVirus, McAfee, ZoneAlarm.
- If your computer came with integrated or preinstalled security software, consult the user documentation provided with it or visit the manufacturer’s Web site to find out how to uninstall it properly.
Step 3: Download Cogeco Security Services
Write down your software subscription number that is displayed on the screen. You will need it for the installation.
Click on the Proceed with Install button for Cogeco Security Services and follow the instructions.
