What does Internet usage mean?
Internet usage is the amount of data your computer sends to and receives from the Internet, measured in bytes. Every time you download a song, upload a picture, surf the Web or send or receive email, a certain number of bytes of data are being transferred to or from your computer.

Your High Speed Business Internet package comes with a monthly usage, measured in gigabytes. With the help of our Internet usage tool, you can:
- Track your monthly usage
- View your usage notification history
- View your usage for the last three months.
- Identify the specifications on your Internet package

Internet usage and your wireless home network
If you have a wireless home network (WLAN or Wi-Fi network), be sure that it is protected against unauthorized remote access. If not, unauthorized individuals could access your account and download or exchange data, which would have repercussions on your monthly limit.

Viewing your Internet usage
To benefit from the internet usage verification tool, you must have opened an account on the cogeco.ca website.
If you have already subscribed:
Log in to "My account".
Once there, choose "Internet Usage".
To help you manage your Internet usage, when you reach 85% and 100% of your usage limit, Cogeco will send you an email to your Cogeco account.
If you have not yet subscribed:
Simply follow these five easy steps:Step 1: Go to the registration page. Click on “New User - Subscribe”. Enter your account number and your address.
Step 2: Choose a user name, a password and a security question, then set your preferences.
Step 3: Confirm the information that you have given.
Step 4: Read the conditions.
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation of your subscription at the email address indicated in your contact information.
Some restrictions may apply. Applicable where Cogeco business services are available. Offers, specifications and regular rates may change at any time without notice. Price excludes applicable taxes. Standard installation (a $129.95 value) is free for customers taking a term commitment of 1 or 3 years. Activation and network connection charges may apply for non-standard installations, or for customers not already on or near the Cogeco network. Free installation may need to be repaid if customer cancels before one year of service. The Business Internet packages are designed for business use only and may not be used by ISPs or other resellers of Internet access to provide connections to third parties. Speed of 30 and 55 Mbps are available in selected areas only. Download and upload speeds can vary with Internet traffic, servers or other factors. If there is no activity in your email account for 8 consecutive months, the content of your inbox will be automatically and permanently deleted. Extra static IP addresses are only available as a single block of either 1, 5 or 13 addresses. The limited time offer prices ($44.95/month for Business Starter, $79.95 for Business Standard, $119.95 for Business Ultimate 30, $179.95 for Business Ultimate 55 or Enterprise) are valid between May 1st and May 31st, 2012 with a 36-month commitment when combined with any Business Phone package for the duration of the commitment. Installation and activation of the service must take place within four weeks after the commitment date unless an extra delay is required by Cogeco technical service. At the expiration of the 36-month period, the then current (no commitment) monthly rate will apply unless the client agrees to a new commitment period. Specific early cancellation processing fees (including repayment of the $10/month promo + standard early cancellation fees of up to $200) may apply if the customer cancels the commitment before the expiration date. Free Domain Name registration attached to the limited time offer (a $19,95/year value) is applicable as long as the commitment for Internet and Phone is valid. At the end of the limited time offer, or when Internet is not bundled with Phone, the following rules will apply. The following Business Internet prices ($54.95/month for Business Starter, $89.95 for Business Standard, $129.95 for Business Ultimate 30, $189.95 for Business Ultimate 55 or Enterprise) are valid with a 36-month commitment. At the expiration of the 36-month period, the then current (no commitment) monthly rate will apply unless the client agrees to a new commitment period. Early cancellation fees of up to $200 may apply if the customer cancels the commitment before the expiration date. At anytime, for a 12-month commitment, the following rules will apply. The following Business Internet prices ($59.95/month for Business Starter, $94.95 for Business Standard, $139.95 for Business Ultimate 30, $199.95 for Business Ultimate 55 or Enterprise) are valid with a 12-month commitment. At the expiration of the 12-month period, the then current (no commitment) monthly rate will apply unless the client agrees to a new commitment period. Early cancellation fees of up to $200 may apply if the customer cancels the commitment before the expiration date.
