And what’s even more exciting is that this enhanced, faster and more exhilarating Internet experience comes with only a very small rate adjustment, which varies by package and service bundling. If you are receiving one of our current promotions, the monthly promotional rate will remain the same until the end of the promotional period. After that, the new regular monthly rate will apply. We even provide a simple and effective security service (F-Secure) for FREE with most of Cogeco’s High Speed Internet packages.
All of these changes take effect on October 1, 2011.

Didn’t you just increase my rates not too long ago?
The last rate adjustment on our Internet services took place in July 2010. In the last two years, we raised the data capacity of our Internet offering and increased speeds at no additional cost at that time. At Cogeco, we understand the impact that a rate increase can have on our customers; therefore, we don’t make this decision lightly. With this rate increase, we are committed to providing you with the best possible Internet service.
Why are you changing my Internet package? I’m happy with it the way it is.
Internet needs are evolving rapidly. We have taken into consideration the feedback received from our current customer base, and are making the necessary changes to meet the needs of more of our customers and to extend our Internet offering. We are dedicated to making your Internet experience the best it can be.
What if I don’t want to change my Internet package?
We can assure you that the upgrade to your Internet profile will be a positive experience. You will receive more data transfer capacity while our pricing remains very competitive.
Can I do anything to keep the rate the same?
We have a wide range of Internet packages. Let’s take a look at your current Internet usage trends to find a package that meets your needs in terms of speed and data transfer and meets your budget.
How does this affect my bill?
Your bill will show a small increase; however, your service will be affected with great increases in speed, allowed GBs and overall performance.
Available where technology permits. Taxes not included. Installation and/or activation fees may apply. Limited time offer. Cannot be combined with any other promotion on the same service. Promotions are limited to new customers or those who have disconnected their service for more than 6 months. A minimum commitment period corresponding to the promotions and billed at the same address is required to benefit from the promotional prices. A termination fee of 75$ per service shall be charged to customers who disconnect their service prior to the end of the contract period. Photos are for illustrative purposes only.
Download speeds can vary with Internet traffic, remote peers, your network configuration, the use of wireless equipment and other factors. After the promotional period, the standard rate will apply. A 12-month subscription is required. Standard modem rental included in all prices. Wi-Fi hotspots are free to access for Cogeco High Speed Internet subscribers and via pay-per-use for non-Cogeco subscribers. The usage cost for non-Cogeco subscribers is $5 for 2 hours. The charge will be billed directly on your cellular phone invoice. Please refer to the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Terms & Conditions documents for more information. The Cogeco Security Services suite is $2 per month with Cogeco High Speed Internet Express 6 and Express 10 and is included in all other Packages. Basic number of GB included in each of the packages without adding any block of additional GB. Additional charges will apply for exceeding bit cap usage allowed for each Cogeco specific packages; visit Cogeco.ca/internetusage for details. Usage rates may be changed by Cogeco upon 30-day notice for. As mentioned in the AUP, the customer is entirely responsible for his Internet service usage and for the security of any devices, wireless, or Wi-Fi systems he chooses to utilize or interconnect to Cogeco's network. We recommend to all our subscribers that they take appropriate steps to secure from misuse any such equipment accordingly.
