What do I do if my digital receiver shows 8888 on the display?

If your receiver shows 8888 on the display, you should first check the connections:

  • Make sure that all your electrical cables are firmly connected to all equipment including your television and wall outlets.
  • Ensure that all connections are secure.
  • Make sure the cable from the wall goes directly to the receiver.

  • Digital cable receiver to
  • VCR/DVD/Game System to
  • Television

If everything is connected properly, you can also try unplugging the receiver for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in to see if this restores the signal

If this does not help, please contact us for further testing and, if necessary, to replace the receiver..
