Can I use a third-party wireless router with a Cogeco Wireless Modem?
We do not recommend using a router from another company if you have a Cogeco Wireless Modem.
Using a wireless router from another company requires activating a bridge mode, which is available on some hardware but not all. Further, we cannot repair your wireless connection if it uses equipment that was not provided by Cogeco.
If you still want to use a third-party router, we recommend using a Cogeco wired cable modem rather than a wireless modem.
