Why am I unable to send emails?
If you are able to receive email, but not send email, there could be several things causing this issue:
- You may have incorrectly typed the outgoing mail server name. The correct name is: smtp.cogeco.ca
- If you are using a mobile device, you may be trying to connect to Cogeco’s outgoing email server (smtp.cogeco.ca) with your wireless service. Our servers do not accept connections from outside the Cogeco network. Contact your wireless provider to find out the name of their outgoing email server.
- The person you are trying to send an email to may not be able to receive email. Check that the person you are trying to communicate with is not having issues with their email service.
