Will my alarm system, which is connected to my phone line, work even if there is a power outage?

Cogeco’s phone modem contains a very practical back-up battery. In the event of a power outage, it will keep your Home Phone service operating normally for up to 8 hours.  

 

However, make sure that your alarm system is also equipped with a back-up battery. To check, contact your alarm company.
