Can I record a selected channel at a specific time instead of selecting a program from the guide?
Recording Programs
Set and schedule recordings three ways with the interactive guide:
•From your remote
•From program information
•Schedule manually
From your remote—One-Touch Record
Press the RECORD button at any time while watching TV or navigating through the guide to begin recording the current program immediately.
From Program Information
From the listings, highlight a program and press INFO. Highlight the Record button and choose OK/SELECT to start recording at the scheduled start time.
If you choose to record the program by its name in the guide and the program is moved, the recording may be deleted by the guide, given that the program is no longer present at that specific time.
Manual Recording
You can set a Manual Recording to record a specific time or channel by following the steps below:
Step 1: Select DVR from the main menu OR by using the LIST button (LIST button is not available on all remotes. You can access the DVR sub-menu through the DVR button on the Quick Menu), and then select Set a Recording.
Step 2: Select the start and end times as well as day, and confirm your settings.
Step 3: Select the channel to record from the channel list.
Step 4: Select Create a Recording to confirm your settings OR select Recording Options for additional options.
If you manually set up a recording based on time, the program airing at that time will be recorded.
