How do I adjust the look of the Interactive Guide?

The settings for the guide can be adjusted by going to the Main Menu (press MENU/SETTINGS twice) and then selecting Setup for various options.


From the Setup Menu, you can activate and customize certain interactive guide features such as the Flip Bar, Parental Control Options, Cable Receiver Settings, Audio Settings, Languages and other system services.

Guide Setup

Press MENU/SETTINGS on your remote. Then select Guide Setup.
Use the left/right buttons to select from the following setup options:

Channel Entry/Auto-tune

  • Yes – automatically turns to a channel 2 seconds after entering channel number on your remote – default set to Yes
  • No – you must enter 3 digits or press OK/SELECT when entering channel number from your remote

DVR Clipping

Select On to allow the DVR to clip the beginning of a programme if there is an overlap of scheduled programme recordings

Flip Bar

The Flip Bar is a display banner that allows you to see programme information as you change channels

Flip Bar Position

Flip Bar can appear on the top or bottom of your screen – default is bottom

Flip Bar Timeout

Changes the amount of time the Flip Bar will stay on your screen, from 2 to 15 seconds – default is 3 seconds

Listing Grid Cell Height

Adjust the listings grid for single- or double-height grid display

Live programme Notice

Select On to extend the recording time of live programmes

Message Indicator

Select On to make the message window appear when a new message is received

Mini Guide Cell Height

Adjust the listings display to show 2 or 3 channels within on-screen Mini-Interactive Guide

Reminder Start Time

Adjust the amount of time the Reminder Notice will appear before the start of a program, from 1-15 minutes – default is set to start time
