Important - Update your banking information

Because we’ve transitioned to a new billing system, we need you to make a couple of quick changes with your bank to ensure your future payments are applied to your account.

Good to know: If you recently paid a bill using your old account number, don’t worry; we’ve transferred the payment to your new account. However, please be sure to follow the procedure outlined below to pay subsequent bills.

Here are the 2 pieces of informationyou need to update with your bank:

  • Your new Cogeco 11 digit account number that start with:
    QC: 60, ON :50

  • The new banking name (payee name):
    Cogeco Connexion 60 (QC)
    Cogeco Connexion 50 (ON)

Let's start by validating your payment method. Do you make pre-authorized payments with Cogeco through your MyAccount profile?

Good news. Since you’re signed up for pre-authorized payments with Cogeco through your MyAccount profile, there’s nothing you need to do.

It’s never too late. Would you like to set up pre-authorized payments now?

Great, if you set up pre-authorized payments then you will not have to make any changes with your bank.

To sign up for pre-authorized payments, sign in to My Account and follow the on-screen instructions. Don’t have a My Account profile yet? Create one today.

No problem. Let’s locate your new account number.

It has 11 digits and starts with “50” if you live in Ontario, or “60” if you’re in Quebec.

Here’s are 2 places you can find your new account number:

1. On your bill—either in the top right corner and at the bottom.

or

2. In the Account Management section of My Account. Here’s how to get there:

  1. Sign in to My Account
  2. Select Profile Settings
  3. Select Account Management
Were you able to find it?

Great, now you’re ready to update your information with your bank:

  1. Your new Cogeco 11 digit account number.
  2. The new Cogeco’s payee name, either Cogeco Connexion 50 (if you’re in Ontario) or Cogeco Connexion 60 (if you’re in Quebec).

Select your bank from the drop-down menu below for instructions on how to update your payment details. If you’re unable to update your payment details after following your bank’s online instructions, please contact your bank directly.

Attention: You can only use Cogeco’s new payee name with your new billing account number. The new payee name cannot be used to pay an old bill containing your old billing account number.

To change the payee name and account number, you’ll need to speak with someone from your bank, either in person or over the phone.
