Can I use a digital receiver that I didn't purchase from Cogeco?

Only receivers from authorized retailers can be activated on the Cogeco system.

If you buy a previously owned Cogeco receiver, it can probably be activated on your account. Cogeco reserves the right to refuse the activation of a terminal, if the terminal does not respect current company standards.

It is always recommended to call us with the serial number of a receiver before purchasing it. This way, we can verify it was a purchased receiver and not an unreturned rental.

We also advise the current owner of the receiver to call our Customer Service to remove it from his file and make sure it is a purchase and not a rental receiver.
